After many years of experience in the field of furniture manufacturing from plate materials and analysis of many different computer software solutions that are used in process of cutting such materials, it was found that there is no any software which meets the requirement of price, quality and ease of use for independent carpenter. Mostly all software solutions are made for the needs of the companies, which in its capacity exceeds the capacities of an independent carpentry workshop. According to that, computer program was created for optimized packing of two dimensional rectangular and Lineal lements at orthogonal table with main purpose of printing cutting sheets that can be used for cutting material at production in wood and panel furniture manufacturing. Computer program was developed upon authors several yearsof experience at steelworking, and actual steel men needs when such software is in question. About Manual. The manual describes operation of NestingLab from initial setup, through entry of structural material items, consolidate, sorting and nesting of material, to final printing of the material. No, it does not read like a good novel, and yes, it is rather dry. Still, it is necessary reading for anyone who intends to use the system effectively. So please bear with us and read the manual before trying to use the system. In this way, maximum benefit will be obtained with a minimum of difficulty. Much effort has gone into making this manual as concise and easy to read as possible. Accordingly, computer jargon has been kept to a bare minimum. The reader is assumed to have a background in structural steel matters, but is also assumed to be a novice where computers are concerned. All computer-related operations are thus explicitly described in step by step tructions. Computer literate readers will probably feel their intelligence has been insulted, but the fact is that the vast majority of NestingLab users relatively little computer expertise.
